OP Grant

Part of our Season 8 Optimism growth grant will be used to pay reporters to come play the oracle game. During Phase 1 of our grant, we will receive 12k OP of which ~6k OP is to be given out as reporter rewards from now until March 31, 2026. After March 31, if we hit our milestones, another 18k OP will be released, of which ~9k will be allocated for this purpose. We have four OP grant games with different rules and frequencies:

Games 1 and 2 are small and frequent: they run every 3 and 10 minutes respectively, and require commitments of ~$10-$40 for the first reporter. Generally, these are best for bots to play. Settlement times are short (reporter money is locked up for ~10 seconds). Games 3 and 4 are larger and more infrequent. They run every hour and 24 hours respectively. For game 3, reporter funds are locked up for ~10 minutes, and for game 4, ~4 hours. Hitting start game does not require any commitment: this simply starts the bounty escalation process. The bounty starts low, increases over time, and is paid to the first reporter for that specific oracle game. For example, for Game 2, if someone were to be the first reporter for oracle game #7530, they would currently earn 0.0025 OP. At most, they can earn 0.05 OP, assuming nobody else takes the bounty by that point. If you are the only one claiming bounties, you can earn the max bounty reward each time. You can hit View & Report to open up the Single Instance page for that specific oracle game, review the parameters, see the bounty increase in real-time if no reports are in yet, and participate by reporting or swapping.
